Greetings and welcome to my 2015 Christmas gift guide. I wanted to share the Christmas spirit and dedicate it to some very talented and amazing working from home mums/mums to be.

You may be wondering why I’ve published my Christmas gift guide in October. Well I wanted plenty of time to promote the wonderful companies involved and also as all of the items are handmade, many of the items need to be ordered by the 1st November in time for you to receive them for Christmas.

There are lots of different ideas and price ranges. I think there’s definitely something for everyone.

So without further ado and in alphabetical order…..


Caboodle Collage

Caboodle creates individually crafted handmade gifts, baby, toddler and children’s clothing, Snackmats, bibs, bags, cushions, playmats, cosy quilts and baby wearing accessories. There are lots of gorgeous fabrics to choose from too.

Items can be bought from stock or made to your specifications as a custom order.

Colour Me Fun

Colour Me Fun specialises in making and creating fun crayons in funky shapes. Every crayon that they make is hand-poured using 100% non-toxic wax. Colour Me Fun crayons are inspired by their own children and their very own childhood experiences and because of this they offer a wide range of shapes that both boys and girls will love. Every set of crayons found in their shop they truly love, knowing that in turn that whoever receives their crayons will love them too.

Free standard delivery is available in the UK and there is an option to upgrade.

Fiddle Beads/Fiddle Necklaces

Fiddle Beads and Fiddle Necklaces are made from brightly coloured wooden and silicone beads which have been designed to keep little eyes and hands occupied during breastfeeding or whilst being worn. The silicone beads are also great for teething babies.

Fiddle Beads can be made to order and can be custom made to match your favourite wrap, carrier or outfit, or just the colours that you love.

All items from Fiddle Beads are completely baby safe.

The coloured wooden beads are all EN71-3 tested. The juniper teething shapes, beads and ash teething rings are all EU compliant. The silicone beads and shapes are all nasties free and safety tested.

Lilith Loves Henry produce amber and semiprecious gemstone jewellery as well as fun and funky silicone teething toys and chewable jewellery for babies, children and adults. They are soft, yet chewable and are the right size for children to reach those difficult back molars. Some have textured sides to help those erupting teeth too!

They are made from 100% natural food grade silicone, they are BPA, cadmium, lead and other nasties free. They are fully non-toxic and completely safe to chew. As a natural product they are odourless, tasteless and do not harvest the growth of germs, bacteria and mould. They are easily cleaned using soap and warm water or disinfectant.

Little Peg Lamps make bespoke, hand-sewn traditional lampshades and ceiling pendants. All the lampshades are made using traditional methods often incorporating modern techniques. Little Peg Lamps use beautiful fabrics ranging from contemporary, modern, vintage and designer.

A new addition to the Little Peg Lamps line are the ‘Colour in’ shades, where you are able to colour in your own lampshade. These shades come with six fabric markers including purple, red, yellow, green, blue and black. At the moment the shade comes in two designs including a Paisley print and ‘To the Moon & Back’.

Price Range: £35 for the ‘Colour in’ lamp shades (Currently they have 20% off making them only £28 until Friday 16th October). Other lampshades range from £45.00 – £140.00

All items are handmade to order from some of the best quality fabric (mostly organic fabric) from around the world. Fabrics chosen are creative and attractive to both parents and children, and are a little different from what can be found on the high street.

My Little Yarn Baby

Lucy is mum to be (to our little niece or nephew, exciting!!!) with a passion for knitting and crochet, creating some lovely handmade baby clothes and toys out of the nicest baby yarns.

Lucy learnt to knit from around the age of 8 and this year set up My Little Yarn Baby to give her a creative outlet from her job as an accountant.

Fingers crossed they’ll be some gorgeous crochet blankets added to the collection soon.

Materials used include sterling silver, semi-precious gemstones and freshwater pearls, occasionally including well sourced dainty sterling silver charms that fit in with simple, contemporary jewellery.

    What a fabulous list! I love the fact that you have chosen companies run from home by mums or mums-to-be. That makes this gift list extra special. I adore the Colour me fun crayons.     Ah lovely to see a roundup like this with lots of independent sellers and crafters! Lots to choose from 🙂 I’m very partial to kids fashion and wear so those clothing brands and makers attracted my attention straight away 🙂 Loved the letter tops from Magnificent Stanley and the cute prints from Caboodle and Maebelle & BO, and of course your SIL’s gorgeous knits!

    I have finished my Christmas shopping already present wise, but looks like I will be buying a few more things just from this.
    I love the Christmas plates, been looking for one for my youngest and nephew.
