Rowan was recently evicted from his highchair to a fabulous new ‘grown up’ booster seat from OXO Tot. The OXO Tot Nest Booster Seat is absolutely fantastic and I wish we had thought of using one a little sooner! Mealtimes now involve Rowan being able to sit at the correct height at the dining table with us.
The OXO Tot Nest Booster Seat features two adjustable black straps that secure the seat in place on an array of differently designed chairs. One strap wraps around the back of the chair and the other around the bottom of the seat. We’ve tried it on a few different chairs and it’s worked perfectly on all of them.
Other features include:
- 3-point harness, with two side release buckles to keep your wriggly little one safe and secure
- Easy to wipe clean
- High back and sides cradle your child for support and comfort
- A soft cushioned seat that is stain and tear resistant
- Non-slip feet keeping the seat stable
- BPA, phthalate and PVC free
The OXO Tot Nest Booster Seat is available in two colour combinations, the green as pictured and taupe. The seat can be used from the age of 9 months + and makes a great alternative to a bulky standard highchair that can take up a lot of room at the family dining table.
We were impressed with it’s sturdiness with Rowan being a wriggler, he’s really secure in it which is great when he’s trying to dodge spoonfuls of food he doesn’t fancy. The other huge benefit for us is that it’s easily transportable with its lightweight design and built in handle for carrying, it fits easily in the car boot for visiting our families so we don’t need to worry about where Rowan will sit for mealtimes.
Retailing at £50 it is slightly on the more pricey side but I think in the long run it’s a great investment as it wears well and can be used from an early age, Rowan is now 2 and I can see him being in it for a long time to come, well until we can trust him to sit on a chair without escaping!
