I’m a huge fan of anything to do with food and always love finding new brands to try out, also being 24 weeks pregnant I’m still trying to eat as healthily as possible (please excuse the chocolate!). Nim’s Fruit & Vegetable Crisps are the latest product we’ve spotted on the market and we were delighted to be sent their full range of crisps to try out and review.
The range of fruit and vegetable crisps is absolutely delicious and it makes it so much better that they are healthy snacks and are 100% natural, they don’t include any added sugar, preservatives, or additives. One pack also counts as one of your five a day, brilliant! To top it all off they are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and they are Kosher. They are fat, gluten and dairy free too.
Nim’s Fruit & Vegetable crisps come in a variety of flavours including:
- Beetroot & Parsnip
- Melon & Orange
- Peppers & Courgette
- Pineapple & Kiwi
- Tomato & Cucumber
Some of the flavours do sound a little interesting and I was a little wary about trying them, especially the Orange & Melon Fruit Crisps and I have to say those are actually my favourite ones, along with the Tomato & Cucumber Vegetable Crisps.
All of the crisps within the range have been air dried rather than fried and they are unbelievably crispy and filling, they smell delicious too. All the crisps include the skin, core and pips of the fruit or vegetable (excluding the pineapple) so nothing goes to waste, this also makes them high in Fibre and Vitamin C.
I have no issue with giving these healthy snacks to Rowan either, his favourite crisps were the apple fruit crisps and the pineapple ones, he wasn’t too keen on the vegetable crisps as he’s a fruit lover rather than a vegetable lover at the moment!
Nim’s are really passionate about helping to combat unhealthy snacking habits for children and will be launching their Nim’s Kids range in Tesco very soon. Nim’s currently have a Tesco Backit crowdfunder campaign running where you can help raise funds for them to produce more incredible snacks. Please visit the Tesco Backit link above for more details.
