With only seven weeks to go until baby number two arrives I’ve been attempting to get my hospital bag ready. I think we’ve found everything that we need and I’ll be sharing our checklist with you very soon. We now just need to wash all the new bits for baby and actually pack the bags, one for baby and one for me. We’ll also pack Alex a bag that will have items for him and Rowan, just in case.
One item I’ve been looking at for the last week or so is a new wash bag for all of my toiletries. Whilst pregnant with Rowan I used a transparent bag that we picked up from a local supermarket, it was great, although this time I’d like something a bit prettier and a little more private when I’m carrying it around the ward.
Below are my top six favourite wash bags that I’ve come across on my searches, I can’t decide which one I want as they are all so pretty. I won’t just be using one for hospital, it’ll probably turn into a large make-up bag after the big day so I don’t mind spending a little bit more if it is to see plenty of use.
1. Strawberry Thief Blue Wash Bag // £25.95 // Alice Caroline
This wash bag is made from one of my favourite Liberty Print fabrics! Rowan has a few items of personalised clothing with this print featured, so it would be nice to have something in the hospital that reminds me of him in a little way.
2. Flamingo Wash Bag // £13 // notonthehighstreet.com
I love a vibrant Flamingo print and this wash bag is fab. The inner lining is a pink chevron print too.
3. London Town Classic Wash Bag // £18 // Cath Kidston
This wash bag is another bag made from one of my favourite fabrics but this time from Cath Kidston. I love the additional carry handle on this one.
4. Whimsical Woodland Wash Bag // £10 // Sass & Belle
One of the outfits that will be in the hospital bag for baby has a gorgeous woodland print on it and it’ll match the print of this Sass & Belle wash bag perfectly. I also love prints with foxes on clothing and now bags it seems! Rowan is really into The Gruffalo at the moment, so he’d approve of this print as it has both foxes and squirrels on it too.
5. Flamingo Wash Bag // £18 // Frazzle & Florrie
Frazzle & Florrie are a brand that I discovered a few months ago via Instagram, they are local to me too. They have some really gorgeous products, including this wash bag – I love the Flamingo on it. They also have some fab phone and MacBook cases, I highly recommend you to go and have a little look.
6. Black Mi-Pac Wash Bag // £12.99 // Skate Hut
For anyone that knows me I’m a HUGE fan of black and patent black is an added bonus. This wash bag is right up my street and the colour is of course a little more discrete.
I’d love to know which one you prefer or if you can recommend any others?
