Well I can truly say that Autumn is here, well it feels like it anyway. There’s definitely more of a nip in the air and the amount of autumnal items we’re picking up in the woods on our family walks is mounting up, we even went conker picking the other day.
It’s time to dig out the warmer clothing and I also need to find myself a warmer coat! Both coats I have at the moment are a little old and are actually maternity coats – they are really comfy though and I don’t want to throw them away just yet – it would be amazing to be able to wear them again because of actually needing to.
Anyway, I’ve put together a little wishlist of some gorgeous coats I’ve spotted online during the early morning feeds and thought I would share them with you.
I always have a list of features and styles I like with my coats – not that I’m fussy or anything! They need to be either black or navy blue, which I know can be a little boring, but these colours are so easy to dress up with colourful scarves and accessories and they go with everything too.
I like well tailored coats and either a military or trench coat style and I mostly always go for double-breasted coats as I think they are really flattering and seem to suit me. A belt is always a must on trench coats too to nip you in at the waist.
1. Mango Puffed Shoulder Wool Coat // £99 // Available via Lyst
This coat features a gorgeous puffed shoulder feature and the fit of the coat is on point. I love the high neck line too.
2. Khara Navy Boiled Wool Sparkle Wrap Coat // £359 // Ted Baker
This coat is way over my budget (but a girl can dream right?) and an exception to the rule of not being double breasted but it’s so beautiful. It has a hint of sparkle in the wool, which is so me. It’s a wrap over coat with a belt so it still looks really fitted and tailored. Perfection right there!
3. Classic Trench Coat // £89 // Warehouse
This coat is navy and in a timeless trench coat style. It’s double breasted with a belt to the waist. This version is also machine washable which is an added bonus when you’re running around after two children!
4. Black Coat with Contrasting Toggles // £129 // Zara
This coat from Zara features a lapel collar and the detailing on the front is really lovely. It actually has a zip fastening and a removable textured piece at the top too, but I love the look of it for some added warmth and would probably keep it attached the majority of the time.
5. Anna Belted Trench Coat // £40 // Boohoo
This is a bargain at £40 and again a timeless silhouette that would suit most figures.
I’d love to know what you think of my choices? Have you got your autumn/winter coat organised yet?
