Alex and I are getting married in just over three weeks time and we actually only decided to get married at the beginning of August! So, it’s been ever so slightly crazy getting everything organised and letting people know our intentions.
I spent quite a lot of time looking for the perfect wedding invitation and after finding some and ordering them I then found another company, Basic Invite, who have some super gorgeous invitations to party and cater for all occasions such as weddings, baby showers, boys and girls birthday invitations, Sweet 16 invitations. They have a fab range of stationery too.
Based in the US, Basic Invite create the perfect cards online for you and they have lots of pre-made templates and designs to choose from, for example there are 692 different wedding invitation designs! Each design can be completely tailored and customised to your requirements.
What I love most about Basic Invite is that the website allows you to edit the designs of the invites/stationery really easily on screen and there is almost unlimited colour options (with 180 colours in total), which allows you to change individual colours on the invite. This is something I haven’t come across and is such a fantastic and unique feature. So, if you don’t like the colour of a frame or some text you can simply change it to suit your taste. You also get to see an immediate preview on screen of the edited colour.
You’ll also find a selection of 40 different coloured envelopes, rather than just the boring white ones, which will ensure they stand out in the post. Again this is a feature I’ve not come across before.
Another great feature is that you can order a sample of the invitation you have created so customers can see exactly how it’ll look and feel before making that final order.
Although Basic Invite are US based they do ship to the UK and designs can take around 2 – 3 weeks (approximately) to arrive, which is actually quite good and invites that we’ve purchased before in the UK have also taken a similar amount of time. I love the fact that they come from the US as hopefully they’ll be designs that your potential guests won’t have seen before.
If you do live in the US there is a free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.
